Last Sunday we had a 10/04 outing again... I remember there was once when we had a 10/04 guys outing followed by a whole class outing, this time was like a repeat of that trend haha.
This time was to celebrate Jeremy and Fiona's birthdays... we went to Mind Cafe (Clarke Quay this time) and made a great deal of noise and fun.
The problem about outings involving that amount of people was that it was hard to decide where to have dinner. In the end we went to Manhattan Fish Market at Central (apparently all of us were having this "gotta have seafood" drive as we regretfully bypassed several seafood restaurants on the way). The stuff there was good! Most of us had seafood platter while Kaicheng and I had this bolied fish with garden herbs dish which got me wanting more.
I was having this online chat with Wenjun and Kelvin, and since the title's got to append their nicknames together. Wenjun was, well, "cute in such an ugly way" (for some reason...?) and Kelvin was, erm, himself.
"Kelvin, cute in such an ugly way"
I'm not quite sure about that "cute" part though... *dodges punch*
I happened to browse through the Jdorama.com forums and decided to check out whatever awards for Japanese dramas they have in Japan. I was very pleased with
Cheers to "HanaKimi" for clinching the award! I see familiar names among the actors like Horikita, Fujiki Naohito, Ikuta Toma (kudos for bringing Shuuichi to life!), Aragaki Yui...
I was quite surprised to see "Papa To Musume No Nanokakan" (Dad and Daughter's 7 Days) landing the "Best Script" though. Not that the show was not good... I actually just finished watching it (Gakki!!!) and enjoyed it, but the storyline isn't what I'd call "very original". Got to note that it was adapted from a book, though.
Ikuta Toma played the role of Nakatsu Shuuichi (or what you Chinese-speaking people call "Xiu-yi") in HanaKimi, so most of us here pretty much knew what that role was all about. He got me so rooting for Shuuichi near the end of the show when the 2 guys were vying for Mizuki's (your "Rui-Xi") heart. I'll look out for his future shows.
Besides looking out for awards, I also went to the discussion threads for some of my favourite artistes. My findings shouldn't surprise you.
Erm... Erika "Propaganda" Toda?
Man... the handwritten note was just some "Take me overseas" kind of request. But the photo's totally... !!!
I got wind of some news about Gakki's new songs... after hearing her voice (which was kind of pleasant-sounding) in so many dramas I reckoned that she'd be asked to sing someday.
The voice is there, but a little more training will do.
