Long Time No See
Here comes the challenge.

Kero-Neko No Tango
Another Keroro spoof of a Jap song called KuroNeko No Tango (Tango of the Black Cat). Here you see the whole KRR Platoon in their tadpole form wearing Nekomimi (Cat Ears).
Sheer Awesomeness
Gundam Battle Universe. Probably the best PSP game in the universe. Coming August 08.
The final quarter of 2008 sure looks like heaven to me.

Stool
In a rage, I smashed my plastic stool.
Many different reasons converged on one point on a Sunday afternoon that caused me to burst. Alone at home.
I guessed I was selfish enough to not want the burden of laying an innocent plastic stool to waste, so I initially wanted to just stack it on another working stool supporting my now disused CRT monitor instead of just throwing it away.
But that was kind of a silly way to avoid facing the full consequence of my action. The stool is now in the garbage dump.

Kururu Obaa-San
Following the Keroro anime means having to bear some of its more stupid episodes (usually about them getting serious about their invasion of Earth).
Then again I might stumble upon a scene, even the shortest scene, that gives me a real good laugh.

Land of the Rising Sun
O Tokyo, you are so faaaaar awaaaay~~~
Post graduation trip
4 years to come up with $2k. Sounds easy. Until you think about what to have for lunch.
If you're reading this
Since we can't contact you now, maybe I can just say a few words here.
You were perhaps anticipating something close to a confrontation, but in fact we just intended to be there for you as friends should be. 'Cause there's almost no doubt that you're facing troubles now.
On your own.
Looking back on those times when we haven't found out what really was going on, some of us really wondered how long you have been keeping the problem to yourself. And how it felt.
It must have been tormenting.
Now it looks like history is repeating itself. Looks like.
But please don't swallow it on your own again. You know where and how to seek help.
Perhaps you can stop being afraid of us, if that's how you're feeling now.
Densetsu No Heya
It's about time I gave my blog a new look.
My constant addition of little sidebar items has caused the blog to look a bit... cluttered. And the colours kind of clashed, in my opinion.
Remnants from my over-enthusiasm in my JC days, haha.
So I reckoned I've got to just start from a sample layout from blogger and add my stuff in again, this time obeying the given colour scheme.
And I finally upgraded to Blogger's WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor-enabled template system. Which, after one hour of heavy use, I realised wasn't exactly that WYSIWYG.
Or maybe I'm used to tweaking stuff on the html level anyway.

The Standard Facebook Question
"What are you doing now?"
As i write, there're currently tons of things waiting for me to do.
1. Studying is one. Looking through all the chem notes again now, after a window period of 2 years, kind of reassured me that I still remember my stuff.
And then I looked through my Organic Chem notes.
2. Next up... clearing my unwatched dramas, unfixed models, unread comics, un...
Watching Keroro on Veoh. Dear old Bluemax only brought in the FIRST season (51 episodes). Mind you, Keroro is now up to... 200 episodes already?
3. Playing and singing my heart out at home.
And I need to practise my breathing techniques not only during my weekly singing lessons at Ark.
Singing class has now progressed to Intermediate Level, and we'll be rostered for live singing soon.
If there're customers, that is.
By the way, Ark Cafe is at Grandlink Square (I can hear Kai Guan smack his head) and it's very elusive. As if not elusive enough, it's at basement 1. We mostly do Chinese music and ocasionally host a corporate party or two. So do drop by.
Yichuan and Jon turn out to be prospective jam mates. We just need that first jam to keep it going.
Before the clamping jaws of Uni education and school participation and the hall spirit-ation chomps down on our free time
-ation.

Childish games

Joining Hands

Along came Spidey
I just realised that my previous post was my 444th post on this blog.
Hmm... my 444th post is on the 4 Flying Wheels. What a coincidence...
Anyway...
Well, "you can't know what control really means" until you have 2 seemingly promising games threatening your grades for the first semester. Now THAT'S gonna take some serious control!
I was just harping on about Star Wars The Force Unleashed, and now we have an upcoming Spidey game, Web of Shadows.
Then again, this was just a teaser trailer and as of now, we know nuts about the gameplay and controls, so... will it be a revolutionary Spidey game? We shall see.

Lessons from a K Session
Last Sunday I went for Karaoke with K-Coy. Finally after so many months of stagnancy, we mobilised ourselves for the throat fight again. This time round, like many other past K sessions, left me with many new (and some old) discoveries. Here are a few.
1. Nicholas Teo's "错了再错" can be alternatively known as the 晨亦儒 & 孙燕姿 MV.
孙燕姿-lookalike. More on the sultry side, in fact.
What about 晨亦儒? Don't you think he looks like 张栋梁? A lot?
2. Angela Chang's "亲爱的那不是爱情" uses the metaphor of an elf living in the wrong forest.
Well that looks more like an elf wearing the wrong clothes.
3. SHE's "夏天的微笑" was written by 啊沁. Suddenly I respect that guy more.
4. The choruses of Jay Chou's classic "发如雪" and Tank's "独唱情歌" have the same chord progression. Edmund and I accidentally discovered it while playing a prank.
It actually eluded my ears all these days of listening to the 2 songs. I must be more mindful next time.
5. Amber 郭采洁. Remember the girl in 啊沁's "其实还爱你"?
"You mean..."
.
.
.
.
Wrong picture wrong picture! I don't want the "Artist's Impression"!
.
.
.
.
Ah yes that's right.
She's now a record artiste too, and her whole image (including the voice) is fairly remeniscent of Angela, but with more power.
Disclaimer: I hate this whole comparison-between-artistes kind of shit, but I have to give a reason why I started to notice this singer, shouldn't I?
Here's an MV we watched on that day.
6. Kaira 龚诗嘉. Another good singer orphaned by HIM. I heard she's still doing music on her own now. I hope so.
Kai Guan brought my attention to her music, and that's when I knew that she penned her own songs and I... kind of took a liking to her non-hit-single songs.
Which was why we sang some of her songs that day.
She really has this girl-next-door look. In fact, she looks extra familiar to me...
Until, halfway through her song, Yichuan told me why.
"She looks a bit like Hongda huh?" (Hongda was one of our old boys in CPC)
I couldn't keep my face straight for the rest of the song.
7. And I'm really sick of MTVs with the hero (or sometimes the heroine) getting run over by a car.
8. The link between economics and, erm, the length of school uniform skirts. And no you DON'T want me to elaborate. This shall remain the secret of K-Coy. Shhh.

S (W) TFU
Get imba this September. Get really imba.
Rarely have I been so excited about a game's release. But this time the promises from the developers simply blew me away.
This video gives comments for the versions of each and every console, and the DS version is developed by a different company. Don't give me that look... 'cause I've seen the company (N Space) do wonders on the DS version of Call of Duty. And the touchscreen control looks really comprehensive and user-friendly. PSP can give better graphics, but pressing buttons to do combos still doesn't give the kick.
Still, I've recently seen the possibility of getting a PSP alongside my DS, and this game might just... give me a little push.
Irony
My bicycle banner now stares at me in cruel irony.
My first bike lasted a year. Then, in the span of 2 months, I lost my next 2 bikes.
This time it was apparently stolen while it was parked at the train station area. They say there're surveilence cameras, and I do pray that they do capture those FUCKED UP lock pickers in action.
My metal CHAIN would not have been cut without attracting attention.
I'm not expecting to find out who the fuck stole my bike, but I wonder if he spared a thought for the owner. I'll be relieved if he did.
I don't know what to do anymore. Stop cycling? Nonsense.
And those who have the heart to laugh at me, shame on you.
I'M FUCKING PISSED OFF!

80s Rewind
Feel the love.
Getting the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga game for my DS brings me back into the Star Wars mood again. Surprisingly for a fan, I don't have any of the movie DVDs yet, so I decided that for a start I'd go get the DVD for Episode 6 Return of the Jedi.
Which was the episode I missed on TV because of that stupid A Maths exam.
Back to the 1983 theater for the final hours of my Sunday night.
I have to admit that the constant repetition of "You underestimate the power of the Dark Side" sounds really cheesy. But still, Luke's relentless belief in the goodness in his father never ceased to amaze me.
And he overcame evil by letting it manifest itself in its nakedest and ugliest form.
